![]() ![]() Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE that Kate and Christopher finally got a good place to live and had a comfy lifestyle that they deserved but honestly I think the beginning of the book and that kind of struggle made for a MUCH more interesting plot OR maybe that these positive outcomes happening at the end instead of the beginning. It felt like I started one book and picked up another with the same characters. There was a lot of repetition and “yep, Christopher’s gonna get out of this one somehow.” Secondly the beginning of the book (Christopher and Kate living in a motel, the idea of being on the run, Kate struggling with money and a job, etc) literally felt like a completely different book compared to the ending. I found myself anticipating the fights being won and there being a happy ending long before the fights and happy ending occurred. This post is basically me writing stuff that confused me or stuff I’d like to discuss!įirstly the book didn’t need to be so damn long. I know I’m behind on reading this one but I saw it on TikTok and gave it a shot. I just finished Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky tonight. There’s ⚠️MASSIVE SPOILERS⚠️ so proceed with caution. ![]()
